Constructed by contrasting practices and situated among fellow professionals, residences offer unique and distinctive opportunities that contribute to the development of the creative process of artists and designers. At Inside Out: Artist in Residencies, we’ll listen to the stories of Petra Stavast and Liza Wolters on how they experienced their residencies. Additionally, the St. Joost partnerships and AiR Awards will be presented: Van Gogh AiR & AiR de Missie, whose winners will be announced. The event will be moderated by Heidi Vogels (TransArtists DutchCulture).
Join us at the event to connect with AiR institutions as well as our own graduates and explore the possibilities of collaboration – inside out.
Van Gogh AiR
The winner will complete a month-long ‘artist-in-residence’ in the guest studio next to the old sexton’s house from Van Gogh’s time and will also receive an artist fee of €1000,-. Afterwards, the winner will exhibit in the Van Gogh Galerie.
AiR De Missie
AiR De Missie gives artists and designers of all disciplines the opportunity to explore the meaning of religion, meaning or spirituality in our contemporary society in contact with the residents of Park Zuiderhout. The prize consists of residency in September, a working budget of €1000 and materials costs €500 and a final presentation at Park Zuiderhout.
This event will be in Dutch. You don’t need to be Dutch speaking to participate in the conversations.
