With a focus on the funeral industry, I have a passion for storytelling, illustration and ceramics. Through this focus, I want to help people who are in mourning and grief to make these moments as beautiful as possible. By not only showing you a different perspective but also giving you tools to bring back the personality a funeral deserves.

We keep death away from children to protect them. We often sugar coat reality by saying things like ‘grandma is on a really long vacation’. This takes away any chance for a child to say goodbye and mourn. With this project I wanted to introduce children to death from reading stories, following assignments and attributes in the classroom. Children should be able to say goodbye in a healthy way when they lose a loved one.
