De festival (na)beleving

Nightlife is an indispensable outlet which is clearly relevant to society. There is nothing better than to work as a designer with this strong sense of unity and escape from reality.
During the protests for the events industry, it was evident how strong the memory is people have of all those festivals.
I developed a design that focuses on the experience and after-experience of a festival. The design expresses itself in t-shirts. I designed three t-shirts, each one has a different illustration. The illustrations were inspired by the book Dancing in the Streets by Barbara Ehrenreich. The book is about people coming together through dancing and how dancing came to be. The illustrations are about connection, mating dance and about the urge to dance. Each illustration is accompanied by a small description, inspired by the book Dancing in The Streets.
