An illustrative bumper car, that’s how you’d best describe Thimo, colliding both with the confines of illustration and himself.

Societies are built upon the way humans interact with objects. This emphasizes the paradoxical taboo surrounding materialism. With ‘Cabinet’ Thimo introduces the public to his positive view on materialism. He illustrates this ideology, called Individual Materialism, using two-dimensional and three-dimensional work. The project also shows a speculative civilization where Individual Materialism is the norm. A utopia for the collector. Part of this exhibition is a portrayal of eleven individuals represented through a series of casts of their own objects.
